πEasy--2. FORM LLC within your home state (do not use roofing in any manner in the name of the llc)
πFREE--3. Get a TAX EIN number (tax id number for your llc in your state)--THIS IS FREE- Google "How do I get a Tax EIN or EID in your state"- (you get this at IRS.gov)
πFREE--4. Take both the LLC papers and the TAX EIN number papers into a NATIONAL bank and OPEN a BUSINESS BANK ACCOUNT--with a bank you can access while on the road, THIS IS FREE
π5. Get quotes for your business Insurance for Workman's Comp, and General Liability Insurance-- This protects you while your on the job, in case any accidents on the job. Job description to the carrier: "Estimator of damages, assistant to adjuster--(you are NOT a ROOFER) Most insurance companies will let you pay quarterly so you don't have to pay for the policy up front (this is a slower part of the process)
